About Course

The College of Law IIMT University offers Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in law.  The PhD in Law programme is meant for post-graduate students who aspire to enrich their knowledge and studies through research in law. It helps aspirants gaining an in-depth knowledge of a particular field of law through intensive research and advance study.  The scholars are offered an opportunity to contribute to the academic field in their chosen areas of study under guidance of their supervisor/guide.
At IIMT University, the PhD Programme in Law is offered in the two following mode:

  • PhD Program (Regular)

Master's degree or an equivalent professional degree in the concerned subject or an allied/interdisciplinary subject, declared equivalent to the Master’s degree by the corresponding statutory regulatory body, with at least 55% marks in aggregate and a relaxation of 5% of marks from 55% to 50% or an equivalent relaxation of grade, may be allowed for those belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories as per UGC norms.

  • PhD Program (Part Time)

Part-time Research student/scholar may include University faculty members/staff, project staff like JRF etc. who are on roll of the University and working under the project supervisors for various sponsored projects.
